My Song of the Day: Doorie – Kuch Is Tarah

As I listen to this song, I feel the beauty with which the lyricist has expressed lovely feelings of a lover wishing to take away all the pains of his loved one. The thoughts have been put together which such simplicity and the music has given it the well-deserved effect making it again ‘A Touchy Song’. As I blink my eyes, I feel the beauty of thought through my read on the lyrics of the song and watch the video on YouTube. Feel it yourself..

Lyrics (Watch VIDEO)

Kuch is tarah, teri palkein meri palkon se mila de
Aansoo tere, saare meri palkon pe sajaa de..

Kuch is tarah, teri palkein meri palkon se mila de
Aansoo tere, saare meri palkon pe sajaa de..

Tu har ghadi har waqt mere saath raha hai
Haan yeh jism kabhi door kabhi paas raha hai

Tip Tip Tip Tip Barish Shuru Ho Gayi...

Is anything more beautiful than rain..well many but it is one those lovely things of nature which I am crazy for. Being a pure cancerian – water sign, I love all its beautiful forms. I am again watching this picture above and can feel the weather of that instant right now in my eyes, on my skin and deep in my heart. When I was young and we stayed in University campus, we had a big garden with trees and shrubs and my father invested a lot of effort keeping it beautiful. To water the plants, there was a circular little structure made of cement with a tap which was made to water plants. Being more of an introvert those days I used to hang around near that structure, my hands dipped into the water and playfully making designs around the boundary of the structure. I still remember those moments which were about 10 years back and love each moment.
Another memorable moment during my stay there was the dry soil in my garden with water gushing into our from the next garden. For the first and last until today time I witnessed this amazing phenomenon. I was studying in my room when my father called me and as usual I came running to him. He said “dekh wahan kitti tez barish ho rahi hai aur apne yahan bilkul nahi!!”. Now you must be wondering what is so unsual about this. Well, our and our neighbour’s gardens were adjacent to each other separated just with a fence. It was raining like cats and dogs in their garden and we were standing on dry sand. I was awestruck with this game of nature where for the first time I felt being teased by nature. Ohh..such heavy rainfall and no water on my skin! The overflowing water came to our garden and again had mixed feelings of disappointment and awe.
Rains are the most beautiful amongst all the weathers if you consider the loving feelings which blossom within the hearts of two people. It is the picture perfect if you imagine two people walking hand in hand together – clinging to each other in the same umbrella and cuddling into each other! Even the cool breeze feels like teasing them and splashes the drizzle on their faces..This is how nature naturally supports positive feelings on earth.

Rains are also an important aspect for movie makers and rain forms the most characteristic environmental indicator to picturize romantic or touchy moments.

Vaishnav jan to tene kahiye je ..Memorising Mahatma Gandhi

I had heard this song sometime when I was very young and the DD channels were quite popular among such little age too this song unfluenced me so much. I never forgot it..the music and few of its chorus lines. I no nothing more about this song except that it is associated with M.Gandhi. I would have addressed him like Gandhiji but felt like writing in a different way than usual though with all the curiosity of trying to know him as a person. The song is very close to my heart..and its lyrics are below for just reliving it again.

Mixed Feelings: Jaipur Blasts

I have seen an ocean.. i have felt those soothing waves where there is serenity and there is peace. I have seen fishes breathing and swaying in the deep blue waters – how delicately they used to swim and what vibrant colors their skin was made of – they were young and full of zeal. All the creatures in the deep waters got attracted towards them and loved to rejoice at their very sight. Fishes were free – free from all restrictions and in command of all their thoughts..they ate what they liked and they loved each other’s company when they playfully fiddled with the waves around. Now sweet times had left –may not be for very long but a suddenly the earth deep below the waters shudders..and there is a uproar – little fishes swirl around and exchange looks – their little mouths wide open in horror and full of questions – what had happened..the soothing waves turned harsh on their delicate bodies and they did not know where to hide..Waves crisscrossed each other and turned violent – so agitated..the waves seem to rise as high as sky as if a man had held both his arms high and then smashed his fists again below – the wild winds pressed him so hard. This hurricane was endless and none knew when it would end..sooner the better the fishes thought..oh such indecisiveness and such uncertainty – when would it end!

Some memories are tough to be placed under memorable moments..since they are so bitter to recollect in the current scenario. I had never thought Jaipur with such calmness and beauty would be blown up so badly..that the Pink City would actually turn RED. I know my family is fine..I know couple of my friends' families are fine..but I cannot just express the mixed feelings of fright, sudden tension, uncertainity, horror and guilt with which I started calling those whom I knew..coz at the bottom of my heart I knew many who had died were not known to me...but many a times they must have crossed my way in those walled city markets. I had been to LMB and to Badi Chaupal and Choti Chaupal - i must have at least spoken to a few shopkeepers..i may have gone to the market and brushed my shoulder with anyone of those nearby residents of the walled city of Jaipur - I had also touched those pink pillars and many a times stood by them waiting for Ma to complete what she was buying - those pillars are black - covered with ashes and those roads are spilled with blood - ohh after all it is my home town..and I am exceptionally attached to each bit of dust that floats in the air. How can I only speak to my knowns and be relaxed..those 200 known strangers have died but they mean something - something to me and Every Thing to some. Sense of belonging to a family, place, institution or country means so much at times that it is terrible to face the realities of life. I hope this never happens again..

Old Song - Din Dhal Jaaye: Touching Song By Mohd. Rafi

One of those lovely and melodious songs sung by Rafi Sahab is ‘Din Dhal Jaaye,Haye Raat Na Jaaye’ from the movie Guide. For those who love it, please have the lyrics below..It is a touching song with beautifully framed thoughts and shows a recollection of the loving moments which are past and are missed. Love makes people sit breathless and think about lovely times. Day dreaming is one thing which is true for all who fall in love waiting and wishing if their loved one could be with them at that moment. Love is the most sacred feeling where there are sleepless nights coloured with passionate wishful thoughts..all so unrealistic. Coincidences are such a big part of how God brings two people could be happened with one of my friends. She ran into her ‘future love’ when he traced her among I think about a thousand people!! As she explains it was such a bliss full moment when she had gone for a festival celebration and suddenly she saw him. Both had talked to each other on phone about how they would celebrate but little did they know that after a few hours there would be a small coincidence– such a beautiful one. Love spreads naturally – I guess its allergic but I am crazy about seeing people slowly meet each other and in a look or couple of small meetings..falling in love with each other. I remember my little ones and love remembering them repeatedly..

Din Dhal Jaaye, Haye Raat Na Jaaye
Tu To Na Aaye Teri Yaad Sataaye

Pyaar Mein Jinke Sab Jag Chhodha
Aur Huye Badnaam
Unke Hi Haathon Haal Hua Yeh
Baithe Hai Dil Ko Tham
Apne Kabhi The Ab Hain Paraaye
Din Dhal...

Aisi hi Rimjhim Aisi Phuhaaren
Aisi Hi Thi Barsaat
Khud Se Judaa Aur Jug Se Paraaye
Hum Dono The Saath
Phir Se Woh Saawan Ab Kyon Na Aaye
Din Dhal...

Dil Ke Mere, Pass Ho Kitne
Phir Bhi Ho Kitni Door
Tum Mujhse Mai Dil Se Pareshaan
Dono Hain Majboor
Aise Mein Kisko Kaun Manaaye
Din Dhal…

Tibet – A disheartening Issue: Save Tibet!

Though I would have discussed this in my next blog and you came to know where and when was the origin of these thoughts. I am quite away from politics and moreover, I am hardly aware of happenings around the world. I visited the monastery in Maclodganj. I think it is one of the true holy places I have been to and which have touched my heart so deeply. As I write this blog even..I have pasted the picture of His Holiness the XIV Dalai Lama – this is the way I have learnt to refer him through people who know him and his holy deeds and belong to different walks of life. I look into his face and it’s tough to express in words the extent of sacredness I see in his face, such wisdom which emanates from his forehead – it is hard to miss. I am just eager to know him in person, his nature, his actual feelings embedded in his heart and mind, the logics he works on, his driving force (I am sure it must be Lord Buddha) and whatever he is made of. I think I want to know him as a common man first. Inquisitiveness fills my heart as I think about him.

Tibet has a rich cultural heritage and I read somewhere that it once had its own flag and rules and regulations. I can base all my thoughts on the base of a few articles which I read on internet as I told you that I not so deeply aware of the general awareness highlights. On the basis of what I read, I feel China has been really unkind to the people of Tibet. Why do countries ever need to conquer other small countries – simply to increase their size, population base and prosperity? There is absolutely no human concern and China is such a communist country. By saying this with China, it might sound abusive but isn’t it true. I visited a museum which displayed pictures of times when Tibet was happy and how slowly the bad times started. The museum also played a television which showed a few excerpts of how China police had actually caught and thrown them behind the bars. How mercilessly had Chinese police beaten a Tibetian was evident from a set of clothes worn by him and displayed by this museum. I could neither take my eyes off the displayed items nor could my eyes leave them and look away. My heart feels deep pain as I write about the blood spots turned blackish from red over this period of time. They had shown a shirt, a pair of parallels and two strips of cloth which were used by prisoners to tie them around their legs so that the brutally tied chains did not hurt their legs. How cruel can the Chinese be to abduct the Panchen Lama, Gendun Choekyi Nyima who has been detained by the Chinese since 1996? I walked around the entire museum with a heavy heart witnessing the Tibetians being tortured and harassed and my heart felt like actually sharing the pain out with someone close. Much did the big maroon-coloured notebook actually do which was put on a distant table with a pen. I went close to it and blindly and hastily started pouring my deep-felt wishes for saving Tibet. With such precious and rare cultural heritage Tibet sure would shine one day. Similar to India which was once under the rule of Britishers, Tibet would soon be free – I then let my lips slowly move and join the voice of millions to say – SAVE TIBET – Save humanity.

A Poem on Me..

I write a little..but then little did I think that someone would ever write about of my friends’ father is a great poet and this time when I went to see her, Uncle came up with this little poem for me as always but ‘about me’ is what was a pleasant surprise. Nothing much to read on..

Her mother’s yesterday’s child smile
Often quiet father’s quiet pride
Lyrical white lily posture in fragile frame
Moving something, saying wide
Yes, Bengali eyes.
I want to take this perfect picture
In poetic diction
For carrying home
To earn a sumptuous smile
From her parents
Even though for a while.
